The 2010 RoRe calendar of events were set stage with Pool Tournament at Vinsomnia on May 18th 2010. The four houses Victoria, Queens, Flora and Gateway were battling each other for the year's first competition. The finalists Flora and Gateway played for the best of five matches against each of their team players where Flora led with 3-0 and won the tournament. The players from Flora Gregory D'mello, Sunny Passi, and Chhaya had a tough game to win while Ramraj Dogra and Imran Khan were left without a fight from Gateway. Gateway gave a tough fight to all of the three games and had come very close to winning. However it was Flora who took the championship home.

Mumbai Marathon 2010 was a plethora of Causes & Social Messages evoking the spirit of the city to be aware of issues that needs priority. Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai supported the NGO Swayamsiddh for the mentally challenged children by running the Marathon’s Dream Run on Sunday, Jan 17, 2010 from CST to Azaad Maidan, Mumbai.

Early this week before the marathon kick off Shahid Kapoor & Amrita Rao announced their support at a press conference held at Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai. The flag off of the dream run took place with Bollywood celebrities Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao bracing the event to show their support to the NGO along with Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai.

The General Manager, Anuraag Bhatnagar accompanied by his team of senior management & associates ran the 7 km stretch with the special children making the cause prominent in their actions.

Indian Bar Tender wins the World Coffee Championship

Devansh Ashar, a 22 year old bar tender from Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai has made Indians proud by being the only Indian to have been selected for his recipe in the final six and bringing the Grand Prize home. The Taste Of Discovery Coffee Championship hosted by world leading coffee brand Illy Café in Trieste, Italy was judged by Chairman of Illy Café Andre Illy and Master Barista Fritz Storm.
‘TASTE OF DISCOVERY COFFEE CHALLENGE’ where 110 hotels from all over the world competed with 3 categories of coffee recipe. Each participating hotel was required to send one hot, cold and alcoholic recipe to Illy Café.

The young barista had behind him his entire food and beverage team to prepare for the challenge along with the rest of the hotel who pitched in to bring the championship home.
Rajiv Kapoor, Asst. Director F&B at Le Royal Meridien, Mumbai was tirelessly involved in honing and polishing every skill, presentation of young Devansh since his entry in the finals of the challenge.

Presenting his beverage to the two stalwarts of the industry Devansh sweeped the championship back home. Ecstatic and jubilant to hear the victory the entire hotel jumped up to congratulate each other.
